GOALS:

Iowa CORE
Use this for State & District Standards & Benchmarks when writing goals.  Here are my most used:

  • IA.1. Employ the full range of research-based comprehension strategies, including making connections, determining importance, questioning, visualizing, making inferences, summarizing, and monitoring for comprehension.
Reading decoding accuracy and fluency rate:
  • IA.2. Read on-level text, both silently and orally, at an appropriate rate with accuracy and fluency to support comprehension.
Sentence/paragraph writing:
  • W.(6,7,8).4. Produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience.
Composition Writing:
  • W.(6,7,8).5. With some guidance and support from peers and adults, develop and strengthen writing as needed by planning, revising, editing, rewriting, or trying a new approach, focusing on how well purpose and audience have been addressed.
Math Problem Solving

  • 7.NS.A.3: Solve real–world and mathematical problems involving the four operations with rational numbers.
